Its mission is to protect and care for orphaned elephants from the island’s jungles, offering them a natural habitat. Twice daily, the elephants are led to the river. Don’t miss the captivating Elephant Feeding, where you might even have the opportunity to feed one of these gentle giants. Temple of the tooth

Concluding your day, we’ll escort you to the Temple of the Tooth during the evening ceremony. Every day, three ceremonies (at 6am, 10am, and 6pm) feature the sacred tooth, housed in an ornate golden casket, being brought out for devout Buddhists to witness. It’s a spiritual spectacle, with offerings of flowers adorning the tooth’s chamber, prayers resonating through the room, and rhythmic songs from drummers filling the air. Visitors eagerly queue up for a chance to get up close to the golden casket. Despite the room’s warmth and limited space, filled with both devotees and tourists, the experience is immensely rewarding. It offers a genuine sense of the ritual, tradition, and significance of this sacred place. Following this memorable visit, you will stay overnight at your Kandy hotel.

Waterfall

Nuwara Eliya, affectionately known as “Little England,” is the highest of Sri Lanka’s three hill stations, perched at an elevation exceeding 6,000 feet above sea level. It served as a haven for British colonists seeking a slice of home in a distant land.

As you follow the winding road leading to the hill country, you’ll journey through lush tea plantations, alongside waterfalls that gracefully tumble down the hills, and into ethereal mist-shrouded valleys.

During your visit, you’ll get the opportunity to explore a typical tea plantation, observing how the tea is cultivated and harvested. From there, you’ll head to a factory, where you’ll gain insights into the entire tea processing procedure, the creation of different tea varieties, and have the chance to savor a cup of unblended, freshly brewed Ceylon tea.
